Tricia Hatley is an Executive Vice President for Freese and Nichols, Inc overseeing operations in the Central Plains, Southeast US and Gulf Coast Regions. Along with her wide variety of transportation, planning, and public infrastructure design experience, she is also particularly skilled in public involvement and outreach. Tricia is an Envision Sustainability Professional with proven success in assisting clients in the development of sustainable project alternatives. Outside of her work at Freese and Nichols, Tricia recently completed her term as the 2020-21 President of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE). While serving as President she led the organization in implementation of their strategic plan which includes a focus on the promotion of diversity and tomorrow’s engineers. Major accomplishments during her term as President include the hiring of the organization’s first female executive director and CEO and successfully navigating the impacts of the COVID pandemic. Tricia graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. An avid runner, Tricia has completed eight marathons.

Rick Guerra, P.E., F.NSPE

He is President/CEO, and majority shareholder of Jose I. Guerra, Inc., a full-service facilities engineering firm with offices in Austin and San Antonio, Texas.  The firm provides a comprehensive range of Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineering services to clients throughout the State of Texas.

Rick has been an active member of NSPE since 1994.  He is the current NSPE President and was Pas President of NSPE-Texas in 2017 and has served on numerous committees and tasks forces at the national level.  In 2018 he was named a NSPE Fellow.
 
He received his BS in Mechanical Engineering in 1982 and his MS in Engineering in 1988, both from the University of Texas at Austin.  He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas and California.  In 2007, Mr. Guerra was appointed by Governor Rick Perry as the Licensed Professional Engineer Member of the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners, where he served until 2019.

Maria Groszek is the director of engineering domain intelligence for Kelly Engineering, the third-ranked engineering workforce solutions provider in the U.S. that connects more than 10,000 engineering candidates each year with opportunities on the cutting edge of their fields. In this role, she is responsible for engineering development within targeted specialties, providing market-focused engineering knowledge necessary to build Kelly’s expertise in specialty engineering, and evaluating new markets, geographies and talent solutions.

Maria graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Purdue University, and earned a certificate in artificial intelligence from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Susan Walsh is the recruiting manager for Kelly Engineering’s specialty recruiting team. In this role, she is responsible for leading a nationwide team of engineering recruiters who source specialized talent for key industries, including architecture, engineering, and construction; medical devices and pharmaceuticals; semiconductors; automotive and sustainable mobility; and renewable energy.

Susan graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication from Vanderbilt University. She has also completed the Communications Officer Ashore program with the U.S. Navy in Newport, RI.

Ron Bergh

Southeast Regional Sales Manager

Ron Bergh is the Southeast regional sales leader for Kelly Engineering, the third-ranked engineering workforce solutions provider in the U.S. that connects more than 10,000 engineering candidates each year with opportunities on the cutting edge of their fields. In this role, he leads the business development team in the Southeast region of the United States and serves as the national product leader for Kelly Engineering’s architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) practice.

Outside of his role at Kelly, Ron is passionate about giving back to his community and works with organizations whose mission it is to support underserved youth. When he is not connecting talent to career opportunities and volunteering his time, he enjoys the occasional round of golf. He is based in Atlanta, GA.
