Paula E. Miles is an experienced leader who honed her genuine curiosity about people, keen strategic thinking and analytical skills, and reputation for developing and leading high value delivering teams into a stellar 30-year career as an energy utility executive and a sought-after thought partner, consultant, and community volunteer. While working for the largest municipally owned natural gas and electric utility in the United States, Paula led teams and generated value as an executive leader in engineering and operations, customer care, people and culture, and corporate technology innovation. Paula founded The PE Miles Group, LLC in 2014. The PE Miles Group serves its clients through personal and executive coaching for individuals and groups, team coaching, program development, and custom solutions. Paula leverages her skills, experiences, and training to guide aspiring leaders, established leaders, and transitioning professionals in discovering and reaching their full potential in their personal and professional lives. Paula has earned the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) credential from the International Coach Federation, is an Accredited Team Coach Practitioner through the European Mentoring and Coaching Council and holds certification as a personal and executive coach conferred by the Coaching and Positive Psychology Institute. She is a licensed professional engineer who earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and holds a master's degree in public administration. She is a longstanding member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, the Texas Society of Professional Engineers, the National Society of Black Engineers, and is the immediate past president of the San Antonio Section of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
