Includes a Live Web Event on 10/22/2025 at 2:00 PM (EDT)

Experience Level: Any level of experience

Every year, the NSPE Board of Ethical Review (BER) publishes opinions  involving a variety of ethical topics related to the practice of engineering. This year, the Board has released four new case studies that address emerging ethical challenges faced by professional engineers in practice. The cases cover a diverse range of topics, including artificial intelligence, community outreach, and sustainability.  Each case provides a nuanced analysis of the ethical dilemmas involved, along with recommendations grounded in the NSPE Code of Ethics. These resources are particularly valuable for professional engineers, students, and educators who wish to stay ahead of evolving ethical issues

Learning Outcomes:

1. Identify ethical obligations in professional engineering scenarios.

2. Apply the NSPE Code of Ethics to analyze and resolve hypothetical dilemmas.

3. Develop clear and practical strategies for addressing ethical challenges.
